Reflections of 9/11...
The Rebroadcasting of
The Take Back The Day
Festival Concert & Art Exhibit
D.R.E.A.M. Studios Inc., the production company who produced the award-winning musical Children In The Playground, is proud to be the host of the 2021 Take Back The Day Festival. This inaugural event is a movement that is rewriting the day of terror that occurred on September 11th 2001 and making it a day of revolutionized unity. The day will be filled with performing and visual arts an art gallery exhibit in conjunction with a day of national community service “good deeds" culminating on September 11th 2021. We are inviting you to join us in helping those who stand in the shadows of the fallen from the World Trade Center Towers, The Pentagon, and Shanksville, PA to Take Back The Day.
In reflection of the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and Flight 93's demise, we the committee feel compelled to elevate and reclaim the day as we pay homage to the 2977 souls whom misfortunately transitioned. We feel that the whole world felt the blow and an uncertainty of peace. We know that New York continues to pay homage to the Empire State's loss, however the rest of the world has allowed the voices of the lost to dwindle away. Take Back The Day turns the whisper into a scream by holding a revival concert featuring music from the musical Children In The Playground. The musical tells the story of a fictional family who finds resolve after the loss of a mother during the September 11th tragedy and brings a boy and his father closer together. Like this musical, Take Back The Day seeks to bring people closer together in remembrance as we rewrite this catastrophic occurrence.
We are excited to host a special event at the Take Back The Day Festival. Our featured visual artist, Don Cincone will unveil a portrait of our 49th and first female Vice President, Kamala Harris.
It is a privilege and a honor to have Mr. Cincone as an exhibitor at the inaugural exhibit. His work is internationally known and has been featured in films and television produced by such greats as Desi Arnez and Lucille Ball from Desilu Productions. His art aesthetic spans an array of themes from modernist to classical and is known for featuring various high profile Americans in his exhibits. His most popular to date is a portrait of the 44th and first African American President, Barack Hussein Obama.
Don Cincone will also be releasing his memoirs and discussing how his art has taken him all across the world and beyond the color lines. Be sure to check our calendar for interview dates and showings of this amazing artist's work.
